Today is your first day of training. The instructor, walked by, studying each one of you with a hard, cold glare. He gives you a set of instructions.

" To make sure you can properly use our gear, I have set up a test. You must balance on the equipment belt, if you fall after your third try, you will be cut. Understood? " He said sharply. Everyone performed the salute and yelled,

" Yes sir! "

Everyone waits their turn to balance. Already 4 have failed more then three times. And the lines grow shorter as more names are called out. Some groups have formed, quietly chatting about the test. What will you do?

Angel hopped onto the belt and wobbled a bit,but she stayed in till the sargent told her to hop off

Sina waited apart from the others. She had no desire to chat with anyone right this moment.

How could they be so happy and cheerful? Sina thought irritably. She kicked the dirt a bit. She braided her hair messily, to keep her hair somewhat out of her face when she tries to balance. She found a bench to sit on for the time being. She sighed and looked up at the sky.

How much longer can we last? She thought.

Angel saw Sina on the bench..she went and sat nextel to her..."sooo what's up?

Aaron stayed distant from the groups. He thought it was idiotic to be socializing when they were taking a test. He heard his name called and hooked himself up to the belt. They gave the signal to raise it, and it slowly creaked up until his feet were off the ground. He stayed calm and balanced, the Instructor gave the signal to lower it, and he unhooked himself. He walked over to the place he last stood, and watched everyone else go.

Why do some people even bother? He thought.

Sina looked over at the girl seated next to her.

" Just waiting for my turn. I want to get this over with. " She sighed.

"It's too easy for a test..Only babies can fail it"

After a short while, Clara was called up, she approached the belt and hooked herself into it. She balanced fine, not putting much effort into it and was lowered back down, she smiled softly, walking back into the group. She wasn't feeling like socializing, she was in her quiet phase at the moment, so she stayed near the back, watching how others did.

" Yeah, but its an important skill to have. If you cant balance, you might as well be dead out there. " She said gesturing at the wall. At last, her name was called and she hooked herself to the belt, it was raised, she was a tad shaky as she was risen up, but remained balanced, they hoisted her down, and unhooked her form the belt. She walked back to the bench sighing.

"Not bad.." Angel excliamed
