When the event you are ambushed by a group of undead appears in Enigmatic Grotto i can't seem to beat them they are super challenging. Anyone have any tips?

what i would do is only hit the ones in the middle. I am pretty sure that the fight starts with three pretty weak undead, so two of them there for the whole time. That way, the more powerful ones can only come one by one. You would also want to get another pet slot. Otherwise, i have a few tips on your pets, guessing they are Gingersnap and Rainbow.

First, equipment. Gingersnap doesn't have equipment at all! And Rainbow needs better equipment. Try getting Epics, Legendary, and Mythical, and as close to their level as possible. Also, relics. Give Gingersnap a relic with a bonus of magical damage, and give Rainbow a relic with a bonus of magical damage as well. If you get another pet slot, give him/her a relic with physical damage. i'll explain why in the next part

Second, proficiencies. for now, since your pets are not lv 60, put both points into health. If you get another pet slot, give him/her wind. it goes for single target damage and takes enemies down quick. Put Gingersnap first, Rainbow second, and if you have the last one, put him/her last.

I'm also having this problem!

I just can't beat them (I've tried around 40 times now)

My pets are pretty high level but I can't even take out the middle one before being killed

Here're a few tips for you Fire

Im going to pick at your team first
First Pickle : Attuned to Air, spend all your points on strength with him, give him a relic with PHYSICAL damage also give him a more rare set of armor move him to 2ed position

Holly: Attuned to Fire, Not the best for this quest change her to shadow and add all points to health, give her armor to Pickle, give her some armor that has a heavy bones in MAGICAL damage put her in first position

Blue Frost: Attuned to Light, put all the points into intelligence, keep the armor, relic and accessory on her, put her in last position


Also for full team notes:
Add a 2ed accessory to each pet
train pets up to lvl 60 (or better yet get a team of fables or max stat up to 60)
Apply mend as often as you can
focus on one opponent slot (so kill only middle the whole battle so high rankers have to file through two low rankers and you don't end up battling 3 four stars at a time)
Hoard healing consumables and apply them properly
