I haven't been on here for like...half a year. I wanted to know...what happened to all the monthlies and custom items? They used to be such a big part of Sylestia. I'm just wanting to know if this is a small hiatus, or if they've been terminated.

As far as i know, they've been discontinued indefinitely.

It takes a long time for the artists to create the items, and with all the other revamps and improvements the admins wanted to focus on, they wanted to divert resources elsewhere.

You can still get previously designed custom items, just not create new ones.

@Greenmamba Wait, but where do you get the custom items?

If you already made them before, you can get copies by pinging Krinadon, I think. Theres also the Custom Item Sales forum if you want to buy from other players.

Do you think they'll ever come back, since you seem to know a lot about them ^^

It's sad to me to see a great part of Sylestia disappear; the monthly items were what drew me to this website in the first place. It was never about the festival items -- those were the inexpensive and convenient route to the style or outfit you wanted. The sale, trade, and creation of custom items were what made Sylestia unique. Monthly items were something to be looked forward to. Now, it seems as if the economy is skewed, and many of my old friends on here are on a undisclosed hiatus. I'm not mad, no. This is kind of bittersweet. I'm done on this website. I've grown, and the younger age of this website is no longer to my tastes. It's been a good couple of years.

It's hard to say for sure. Definitely not anytime soon, maybe after the relaunch of the site? I don't know.

Though it also depends on whether the interest in them picks up enough then. From what I heard, the interests in them was slowing reducing over time, so it wasn't worth churning them out every month, instead of focusing the resources on other site improvements.
