Backstory: Max was abused by his dad, because his mom was too scared to stop him. This is the cause of the scar on his cheek. Max became as smart as he could be, just so his father would stop and love him, but it never happened. So Max ran away, but not before grabbing his teddy bear, which was given to him by his mom on Christmas, when his dad didn't harm him. A couple days later his father found him and forced him to come back home, which brought up a fight between Max's mom and dad. His dad attempted to kill Max's mom, who ran away with Max the week before the weather went crazy. Max hates his dad, and wishes to have his mom back, because she disappeared on the day of crazy weather.

She gathered the remaining people, including her sister, Bianca, and led them to safety.
