So I have been thinking of starting a 5-vis Qitari project, the problem is that I can't seem to decide between these two variations of the design. So I am asking for your opinion on which variation is the best.

If you have any feedback on the design in general I would be happy to hear it.

The only difference between the two is that the colours used for the mane and wings are swapped.

My choice is based entirely on where my eyes tend to wander, and that is to the first variation. It seems to have more contrast and balance somehow, even though they literally both have the same 'amount' of each colour *shrugs*

Echoing this! :)

I think it's because the darkness of those traits provide nice contrast with the blues, while using the light blues just makes it seem washed out.

Ok, I tweaked it a bit I couldn't get the highlighted blue feather tips as they share the same colour slot as the mane. So what do you think of this?

Hope you don't mind me pinging you, sorry if you do (just let me know for future reference).

np! its only my ten cents anyway aha

I kinda like the deeper blue/teals? of the scales and inside of the wings. That being said, the light blue manes of the tips don't look like they match anything else on the design, so I'd probably shift towards changing the mane tips to being a matching blue/teal on the rest of the design. But that's just me, I'm sure you have your reasons why you used pale blue. o:

I can see what you are getting at, it does look kinda off from the rest of the colour scheme.
I tweaked it again, which of these highlight colours do you think work best?

Dark shade from scales

Paler shade from scales

A new shade which is an in between of the two scale shades.

I think the blue mane is the best, as it provides a really nice contrast to the other colors, and the blue fonts on the wings look really nice!
