Hi, so I spent enough Chocolate Coins to earn the 5 Retired Avatar Items reward.

The first one was Gnarled Vines, which, okay, hopefully they are retired, if extremely disappointing. But then I got Misfortune Kitty Band (Full Moon), Elegant Leaf Tiara (Maple), and Misfortune Kitty Treat Basket (Dark Lime). These are current avatar items, not retired avatar items. The only actual retired item was the Ghostly Gilded Glass (Noxious). Perhaps the system has started counting Fall Festival 2017 items as Retired before the Festival ends? Please help; it wasn't easy to get all those Chocolate Coins!

I suppose that's because the Misfortune Kitty stuff has been around last year, so it gets counted as retired even though they returned for 2017.

Olooriel is correct. The items from boxes are determined by the date they were added into the game. Sometimes we do repeat items, but they still were technically added in the prior year and that's what the boxes go by.

I wish I could use a better system, but with the thousands of items we have - it'd be virtually unfeasible for me to keep track of them all - retroactively - of what is or isn't still available. It saves me hours and hours of time by just having it be an automatic system.
