Disclaimer: I do not own Sonic, Infinite, Knuckles, or related characters/music/concepts/gemstones/etc.
Sonic Forces copyright Sega and whatnot.
Also, if I use an image, there's a 99.9 percent chance it's not mine. If it is mine, I'll say its mine and if it isn't... I'll try say it isn't mine anyway to avoid getting sued.
~The End and the Beginning~
Knuckles watched as Sonic and Gadget departed. He glanced at the cheering Mobians behind him, unable to resist a relieved sigh. The Eggman Empire had fallen, and Infinite, whatever that freak may have been, was gone. The war was over. Finally! Joy filled the room. But, the group was no longer needed. It was time to disband. "Okay guys!" The echidna announced. "Let's wrap it up!"

Sunlight grunted off a metal surface. A yellow eye flickered back to life. A red gemstone pulsed. Black and white fur flowed in the wind as flames died down. A creature emerged from the shadows.
"They shall pay... all of them," it growled.

~From the Ashes~ (Cue dramatic Resistance music)
The story:
That's my little prologue at the top there. Long story short, as watching the play throughs of Sonic Forces, I realized something; Infinite didn't die. He simply said "No... wait! I can still fight!", flew off, and was never seen again. Not to mention the world is still in shambles when the game ends. so...
So, after the Resistance disbands,
Silver the Hedgehog and Classic Sonic go back to their own timelines,
Sonic The Hedgehog and Gadget "Rookie" the Wolf run off to do their own thing,
Knuckles The Echidna returns to Angel Island (not immediately, however),
Shadow the Hedgehog and the rest of Team Dark do their fancy government thing (or not. You know.),
Pearl the Cat and Crovin the Bird kinda just show up...
and everyone else (Amy Rose, Miles "Tails" Prower, and The Chaotix) sticks around to help restoration efforts (also, this is what I assume they would be doing. You don't have to stick with this.).
But darkness still lurks...
What I find in the ashes
You lose in the fire!
-Theme of Infinite
Brief list of rules:
-Pg-13.
-No excessive gore. (Some people hate blood and I am some people)
-Don't over-do backstories, events, etc. Try and keep it realitively in line with the cannon media (the prequel comics and the games, specifically)
-No cussing. (You know, for the kiddos.)
-Don't godmob. (Even if you're Shadow or Infinite.)
-No text talk. (Please? It's very hard to read.)
-Use "" for speech (if possible. If not, somehow set aside the dialogue.)
-Let's... not kill anything.
-And obviously follow the Sylestian rules.
