It's 20 years after the Jade Mountain Academy is built, and the dragon world is at peace. But a mysterious prophecy from a dragon not of Pyrrhia, says that more dragons would come, seeking help from a tyranny back home. They gather an egg from each tribe in the hopes of stopping this terrible leader. The newcomer's fate rests in their talons...

CHAPTER 1

"GET OFF MY TAIL OR I'LL BITE YOU." Ember hissed at Mightyfang, who was, in all fairness, just doing what he was told to do. He lept away in a hurry, narrowly avoiding Ember's claws. Being a Mudwing, many dragons thought that she was kinda lazy, stupid, and eats a lot. Not so. (except for the food part because food is delicious!) She would not be lazy, she was not stupid. And she was determined to prove that to the world of dragons. Mightyfang slunk away to the shadow of a nearby elm tree, and sat down, looking dejected. Whenever he did this, Ember was reminded of his father, Starflight. She snorted and promptly turned her back on him, turning her head to look up at the sky. It was a beautiful azure blue. Oh, how she wanted to fly, fly away from the secret life that she'd always known. She sighed. That when a wet, furry thing hit her face. "Oh! Sorry Ember!" There was the rush of wings flapping as the other dragonets landed beside her. She peeled the wet thing off of her, only to realize that it was a monkey, all bloodied up and torn. "GROSS." She flung the monkey away in disgust. Horizon went over and began to eat the monkey. Tidepool, who was really the leader of the group, rolled her eyes. She then noticed Mightyfang, and went over to see what was wrong. Dawn sat down beside Ember in the morning sun, and washed the dirt off from her umber scales, while Ivy examined her for anything bad. "You guys, I'm fine." Ember said with a laugh. "AND DAWN THREE MOONS THAT TICKLES!" she flopped back in the grass while Dawn tickled her with the tips of her talons. Ivy snorted, trying to cover her laughter at the normally dignified Ember, rolling around on the grass laughing her horns off. Mightyfang slunk shyly over to Dawn and sat beside her. Dawn paused her tickling to playfully lick him on the nose as a joke. His eyes went wide, and he covered his face with his wings. Ember was wheezing, trying to catch her breath, when the three off-islanders landed beside them. "Come inside now. Something's not right."

"Come inside quickly. We must make haste." Ember found herself being swept along by three huge tails. The other dragonets looked worried, especially Mightyclaw. Ivy's camouflaged scales rippled slightly as she shivered. The biggest dragon, Rose Thorn, hissed, and smoke came out of her nostrils. Wind closed the door while her mate Raven kept watch. "What's so bad Rose Thorn?" Ember dared to ask. The bright red dragon didn't reply, but more smoke came out of her nose. As they made their way through a tangle of caves, Ember started to worry that the dragons who had driven the guardians off their home island were coming for them. No... Surely not. They couldn't find us here... Right, Wind? There was a hesitant pause There's no telling what those cruel beasts can do. Wind wrapped Ember under her soft feathered wings. But I promise no harm shall come to you or the others. Ember sighed. Wind drove them into the hatchery, where it was safest at the moment. And, Wind also had to protect her egg that was in there. It would be the only one of its kind. Light feathers and Dark feathers are strictly forbidden to breed. The punishment if they are caught? Death to the egg, and the parents are not allowed to breed ever again, even with members of their own type. But, as it's been said, very few things can stop love, and when Wind and Raven met well, a romance started. The first time they'd met, as Ember had heard was the time Raven tried to steal their eggs. His parents had threatened him that if he didn't start acting like a Dark feather, they'd throw him out to the Edge, where no creature, dragon or otherwise, has escaped. And these same cruel dragons had thrown the trio off the island when the new king came to rule. According to them, the place was even more horrible and dark than even the old Nightwing kingdom. Ember really hoped that theses dragons had not found them...

You should add all the characters and winglets!

They're not in winglets, only because they're being secretly raised. Unlike the original prophecy dragonets, they might have a prophecy but only the three minders and Moonwatcher know about it, because otherwise the off islanders would be in danger from Phyriaah's dragon tribes.
