Chlo jumped at the strangers outburst. She became defiant and zipped her lips. She tapped her foot as her own beanie sat comfortably on her head. She wasn't gonna let this person ruin her mood. She was usually an optimist but now the girl was just annoyed.


Zac was bored and looked the stranger over. He shrugged and sat in the grass. He pulled three pieces and started knotting them, because...he was extremely bored.

Victoria looked on, her eyes wide. "Well, we're dead. Great. Just great. At least that lady got away..." She sighed, then her eyes darted around, viewing each separate person. "Well, I'd say we go knock on that door. There's nothing more we can do."

"Yaaaay." I pulled my winter hoodie over my head. I realized by the outfits of the recent ones that I had been in the limbo of limbo for a while... "What year is it?"

"Uh, 2013. November 6th, 2013... when it happened." She narrowed her eyes. "It happened today, right? It felt like it did..."

"Nonono..... It should be 2003....." My eyes started to well with tears.

"Uh-uh!" She retorted, confused. "I know for sure it was 2013, November the 6th. It was my sister's birthday..." Her eyes got wet. "Oh no..."

There were other, weaker forms in the room, who seemed to have lost their voices in the limbo. "It's fall in 2017..... I've been gone for almost fourteen years....."

She wiped her eyes and frowned. "Me for... three?"

Alex gasped awake, sitting up.
His stomach lurched, his vision had spots dancing about.
He coughed his ears ringing the back of his head had a phantom pain.

He groaned struggling to his feet,
he looked over the sign and gasped stumbling backwards.
He knew it.
He was dead,
dead before he could ask that Hannah girl to the Junior Prom.
Dead before he graduated,
dead before he visited his dying grandmother,
dead before he married or had kids.
Left behind his friends.
"Hello?"
He called out softly in his rich hispanic accent.
