Well... in some culture or whatever, the wendigo is an evil spirit or monster. So maybe she's called Wendigo Winter because she has winter-like colors and has horns, dragon scales, and wings like a monster.

I'm pretty sure she's looking for the actual TV show. It is a little hard, I guess, since they only mention them twice. There are a lot of hints scattered around. connect the dots and you guys'll get there.
