I started playing Sylestia not long ago, and in this week or so, I have captured quite a few pets as well as winning or getting some from giveaways. Now I have a problem, though. Maybe half of my pets are level zero, and I'm not sure if I should level them up and use them as battle pets, or just use them to breed. Should I leave them level zero and level them up later, or just start using them on easy completed zones? Or should I level them up a little bit and use them for missions?

What do you guys think?

I use my infertile pets as battle/mission, my fertile ones for battle/mission/breeding, unless they are for a project. The really pretty ones I just breed or I leave them there for show.

Unless you're going to use them, don't bother levelling pets you're just keeping. You only need to level 3 pets, once you're level 60 you can catch level 60 pets if you want.

I just leveled up 3 pets for my team (I have more leveled for battle now though), and most of my pets I just use for breeding. I also HIGHLY recommend leveling up a few through missions (level 0 mission have a guaranteed success, so do them untill the syelsti are leveled enough for harder missions) and specialising their stats to make them your mission pets for gold earning purposes.

It's up to you whether you want to have different types of pets for battling, so you can experiment with battling with different elements. Or you can keep your pets sitting prettily in your stables.

I will recommend you set some pets aside just for missions though. Slowly level them up, and put all their proficiency points to one stat, and equip them to maximise that stat, so that they can earn you the highest rewards for missions.
