The Nurturing Handbook

1. Thou shalt not give up five minutes and four pages in because you were distracted by region chat.

2. Thou shalt not temporarily forget basic shapes and have a existential crisis when asked by the pop-up if you're alive.
2a. Thou shalt not tell anyone when it turns out you really don't know what a triangle looks like and you log yourself out.

3. Thou shalt not "warm" someone's "warm" egg. Stop hard-boiling people's babies, it's uncouth.

4. Thou shalt not "read a book" to a slow pet. This is 2017.

5. Thou shalt not consider punching the screen when you're told you may only search once every 10 seconds but all you've done in the past 10 seconds is have an existential crisis about picking a triangle out of a line-up, and are we actually alive, really?

6. Thou shalt not put on Eye of the Tiger, make a coffee, sit down to nurture and then watch some Netflix and take a nap.

7. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's position by trying to work out when they'll be asleep and getting up at 4am to outnurture them, it's a game bro, be cool.

8. Thou shalt not use profanity towards the "This pet has been released" message, the "You have already nurtured this egg today" message or the "You seem to be upsetting the egg" message.

9. Thou shalt not ponder too hard on how exactly an egg would show that you're upsetting it when it needs your help for basic tasks like turning.

10. Thou shalt support and love thy fellow nurturer, for enduring the same first world struggle, being a lovely Sylestian, and also because you both see the hatchery page burned into your vision when you close your eyes at night and that's a special kind of dedication.

Have a great day Nurturers, I believe in you!

LOL OMG I am crying laughing

I always accidentally mess up and then I get annoyed because my scales aren't even. When they aren't, it is bad times, USA up in here. I have to nurture in even numbers so sometimes I skip one or so until I end a page on a happy number.

No hilarious stories, just one of a very OCD Eli.

Yay inspiration :D

You've mostly summed up the ones we talked about in chat, huh ^.^

So here's the screenshot of perfection:

Also, I second the motion about nurturing in even numbers. I'll waste precious seconds of my time just to keep my scale count at an even multiple of ten.

Something similar happened again:

Ahhh yes

--David Attenborough--
Here we see two people batch breeding simultaneously, thus ruining their hopes of easily using the "Next Sylesti" button after releasing a project pet to find the next one in the batch.

This is a different natural phenomena to the
"random other person's egg in amongst someone else's large batch breed that gets cooled just like all the rest even though it wanted polishing because you weren't really paying attention" as it provides very satisfying looking screenshots instead of shame.

Oh, another one that wasn't mentioned.

Getting stuck in the middle of freakishly large hatcheries and beginning to despair if it's even possible to nurture all those pets.

Yus. This is exactly what is needed. Krin should put this on the nurture page. XD
