Mainly inspire by waves at the beach. The under colors just remind of summer, with the lighter shade being reminiscent of sand where the marking genes are to copy the waves crashing.

Midsummer Night's Dream Vulnyx
So I started off thinking about the play, A Midsummer Night's Dream and thinking how that would look as a sylesti, and then this contest came up and I was trying to figure out how to incorporate that in and thought about a night sky in a garden with moonflowers in bloom. Moonflowers are flowers that bloom from dusk until mid morning in the summer mostly in the Americas. Here is a link to a moonflower picture. So here we are a summer night sky with the stars and nebulas shining against the darkness and the white flowers blooming in the moonlight.

I grew up in Florida and my favorite thing about it was the oranges. I love oranges so much and thought that I would make this lady inspired by an orange grove. Since they are a summer fruit, I figured it was a good inspiration for this pet. The green to represent the trees' leaves, the orange for the fruit its self and the white to represent the blossoms.

Bushfires! Yep, with summer comes a lot of aussie bushfires. That be the inspiration for this fella. Eyes like coal, he has.

The tree of life Bulbori . This design came out when I was walking through the woods and admiring nature. I like that I look closely, a small cabin near our village grandmother and the younger children were playing in it. They carry a rabbits

I don't have a picture of my inspiration, but it is looking out into my front yard, I live in the woods, and seeing the green overgrowth, the trees and blue skies above it all.
