Lynn ignored the many phrases and yells in her direction. She stood in front of the William's Academy for Gifted Students, wondering how something so useless could save her life. She looked around for her family, the four other teen Tainted Rebels.
I wonder how the others are doing. There were other Tainted in hiding, of course. Mothers, fathers, infants. They weren't to be revealed to the new King. I'll make sure of it.

Rain waved to Lynn. "Hi!" She yelled. She ran up to Lynn, a look of excitement in her eyes. "Isn't this place amazing? So much better then the orphanage, I just wish the king didn't have to be killed for us to get here..." she said.

"Hmm...," Lynn didn't respond to the timid girl in front of her. Stupid Gifted children. Acting all sweet. She looked at the white star on the girl's forehead, almost wincing.
"A disgrace. That's what you are. You aren't my daughter- GET OUT!"
A white star. That voice.
Her mother's voice.
Her Gifted mother, the one who hated her the most. Called her a disgrace. An outcast. A useless, dark stain on the earth that deserved to die.
Shaking her head, she turned to Rain, wondering how she could be so enthusiastic. "Yes. It's beautiful. Good to see you- is everyone well?" She felt a smile on her face as she saw the girl. They were practicaly like sisters.
