As you climb to the top, you notice that farther in the distance(to the west), past the river is a valley of sorts, and a fallen tree farther upstream of the river provides passage towards the valley. In the north, the trees thin out into a bog, with strange woodpiles throughout. To the east, the trees give way to mountains, while to the south, the crevice stretches into the distance, the river turning into a waterfall as it cascades down into it. Past the chasm is a grass plain. What do you do next?

I decided that the valley looks like the best option. I climb down the rocks carefully and head in the direction of the fallen tree, further upstream.

As you examine the claw marks, you notice that they come from a rather large animal, and they all point in a south-east direction. A loud thud sounds from the north-east however, like a tree falling. Follow the claw marks or explore the sound?

As you climb on top of it, you feel something warm inside, but you can't reach it. The logs are wedged tightly together, and can give splinters, but you could possibly move them apart. But if this is a nest, then whatever is inside could be dangerous. What do you do?

As you go in and shine your torch over the cavern, you see stalactites hanging low and a steady drip of water. As you look around, you see no other way out, other than the one you just came in from. You see an egg, just lying on the ground. It needs heat and protection to hatch, and there is no one around. As you touch the egg, you feel slight heat, so the egg is still alive, if not for long. Leave the egg or take it?

As you approach the tree, it looks less and less stable. The water drags at and shakes the whole log mercilessly. It is dangerous to try to cross, so do you cross or do you look for another way to get over the river?

After realizing how dangerous the fallen tree really is, I decide that finding a different way to cross the river is the best idea.
