Do eggs found while exploring have a chance at having any genes or mutations or do they always hatch with none?

They have a chance of having carried or visible genes and/or mutations. They also have a chance of having none. (Not sure if your pet has been tested yet.) The eggs found in festival zones and the third zone have a chance (a very small chance) of being legendary or even mythical.

Thanks! So far everything I've hatched has "None" in all genes and "Unknown" for mutations.

They have a chance of having visible or carried genes/mutations, but it's not guaranteed. I've gotten pets with nothing, and I've had pets with 4 carries. It's a matter of luck.

Ahh. Your pets might have visible mutations that may show when they're older then. It may also be worth it to get them tested so carried/visible traits can be shown immediately.
