You slowly back up, but not in a fearful way. The patrol growls at you. Not letting any fear-scent show, you immediately back out of the territory. You did it just in time, because the leader of the patrol springs into the area you had just been standing in.

Deciding that the forest did not hold the wolves you were looking for, you turn around and start heading to the looming mountains in the distance. Halfway through, the sun went over the horizon and you are doused in darkness. Thanks to be nocturnal, you continue your journey, stumbling across the random squirrel for a snack. Once you get to your destination, dawn is just cracking the horizon. Exhausted, you can either sleep, or push past your fatigue and immediately start your search.

I assume a peaceful position, then roll over ( That can throw off a attack. Wolf body language ) and, if that distracts them, I run off (not scared or worried looking), or atleast try

Deciding to make your move, you bay(play-bow) playfully. The wolf does not immediately respond, but doesn't seem to be angry. Finally, after a few minutes of silence. He turns around and bolts forward. You think he was leaving, but then he turns back to look at you. What do you do? (chase, or ignore it.)

Yes. I sneak up quietly on the bird.

Rolling on your back to show submission (is that what you mean XD If not ill edit this :P) the patrol seems to calm down the slightest bit. You slowly back further away. They don't give chase, but still give you the death glare. You eventually are able to turn and walk away. You are extremely lucky you left the situation unscathed. You leave the area, knowing to be a bit more cautious in the future. Where do you head now?
