Okay, so I LOVE rps. The thing is, rp-ing can get kind of annoying when people just respond with a single sentence, and sometimes not even a single sentence, not doing anything to advance the plot. I don't want to tell them not to do that, though, because it's about having fun, and also I can understand how they would be a bit hesitant to do anything big in order to avoid messing up what the creator of the rp have planned for it. I've also done this, so I can relate to this. With private rps, however, I'd think that it might be easier for the
rp-ers to communicate what direction they want the rp to go in, and getting it to go in that direction without any of the other players getting left behind (I've never done a private rp, though, so I'm sure that there are other reasons as well).

I've been a bit hesitant to do a private rp, though, because I don't really want someone to come along and see an rp that they find really cool, only to discover that they can't take part in it.

Anyway, point is, does anyone have any suggestions for a private rp?
I usually like rps that take place in medieval settings, or modern day settings where the main characters have magical aspects. Romance isn't really my thing, but it's fine as long as it's not to forced. I'd be willing to have maybe about 3-5 players, but I really want the characters to stay together, rather than having 2 characters go off over there, 2 over there, and 1 just being left to do nothing.

I'm up for a medieval one! Love me some knights in shining armor!

I have an idea for a story where a group of outcasts, criminals, innocent victims blamed for crimes against the kingdom, etc... come together in an attempt to flee the kingdom only to discover a plot to destroy it. They are the only ones who could possibly either save the kingdom themselves, or get the information to the people who matter before its too late.

If you don't like this concept for this RP, or aren't comfortable leading a story someone else thought up I could easily make the RP myself and you could join.

That sounds pretty awesome! We could probably incorporate the quest thing into it too. I'd be fine with leading the rp, but it sounds like you have it planned out, so if you have anything in particular that you wanted in the rp, you taking the lead a little bit might be better, at least until we get all of the exposition and setting established.

I suppose I could also play a guide character... though now that I think about, I think it might be best If I start this one myself...

It'll take me awhile to set up. This one is gonna have a lot more direction than most RPs on this site. In truth I've been thinking up the little details of this world for years, so I'm eager to share it.
