Is there something to this?

This door requires a pet with enough of a required stat to unlock it. Not sure how much the requirement is now, especially with the changes to level up/proficiency allocation...

Can't see how to open door - intelligence
Can't budge door - strength
Door button is too high - agility
Door is locked - dexterity

These should be the different types of door you may encounter, and the corresponding stat needed.

I have successfully opened the Agility door (button to high) with a pet stat of 768 and I failed to open the Strength door (can't budge) with a pet stat of 333.

So success is somewhere between those two numbers :D. Sorry its so vague as I've only done the dungeon twice since it was redone.

595 Intelligence is good enough to open a door if that's useful to add to the number range :P

3. Puzzle One - The Locked Door

Rethelen: when it says you cannot figured out how to open the door, it's a pet with the highest intellect(17:48)
Rethelen: when it says the door is locked, you need a high dex pet(17:48)
Me: ...WHAT(17:48)
Me: I WOULDN'T HAVE PICKED THAT UP(17:48)
Me: I give up with this lol(17:48)
Rethelen: when it says you cannot reach the switch, its agility(17:48)
Rethelen: when it says the door wont budge, it's strength(17:48)

credit to Rethelen for figuring it out and sharing it with me c:

"And it seems that the pet needs at least 400 380 in the respective stat to open the door, or somewhere around there."
-Vevina

Ignore the door or choose a pet that cannot open the door if you want to skip the first sub-boss.

I think the number of the stat may have changed since the Dungeon was re-tuned. I pretty sure I was unsuccessful opening the door (wouldn't budge) with a pet that had 417 strength, the first time I attempted to do a Dungeon run after the re-tune.

Side note to this. If you are at the door but have not yet chosen a pet, you can go to the pets attributes (via your stable page) and reset them, change them so that the stat is high enough (I'd just max it out until we know better), save, go back to the dungeon, open the door, then go back to the pets attributes and reset the stats back to normal. It does cost like 10k gold but opening both doors and defeating /all/ bosses is the only way to get the new relics so I find it worth it for now.

You can also swap one of your party with a missions pet, if you have pets with maxed of one stat just for missions.

I tried using my ny'vene to get to the button that's too high. I think it should have worked because he can fly :P
