Icekit jumped up and down "and I will be the best apprentice ever!"

"And I am sure you will be." a deep voice meowed from behind her. The DragonClan deputy stood behind the young kit. "I may not have introduced myself, my name is Darkscar." the black draco-tom said. His meow was so deep, it was almost a growl.
Darkscar's mate, Ravenwillow, slid out of the nursery. She ran over to her mate, huffing as she did so.
"Darkscar! Are you scaring kits again?!" she asked sternly, finally managing to catch up, her stomach sagging under the weight of her kits.
"No! Of course not!" he retorted.
Ravenwillow's eyes flashed. "Don't lie to me!"
"Well, I can't help it. Kits are afraid of everything!" he said.
Ravenwillow poked him in the chest with a sharp claw. "I know someone's going to be in deep Foxdung if you don't stop scaring those kits!" she said, gesturing the nursery with her tail.
"It's not like I mean to! I look intimidating!"
"Well, try not to act intimidating! How about you go hunting. I daresay the Clan needs more food. There are so many injured to attend to." Ravenwillow stormed off, her tail whacking the DragonClan deputy in the muzzle as she exited towards the nursery. Darkscar rolled his eyes and stalked off towards the forest.

Icekit, puzzled bounced back to the nursery.

Darkscar walked in the forest, determined to catch a mouse or any prey, just not a sparrow. He hated sparrows. Disgusting, feathery, birds. he thought, prowling through the undergrowth. He dropped into a crouch, having spotted a cottontail poking out of the bushes. Then, he pounced, nabbing the piece of prey in his jaws. He shook the rabbit, venting out his anger until the fresh-kill stopped moving and hung limp in his jaws.

It's a pity that Ravenwillow dislikes rabbit. I'll catch a vole on the way back. he thought.

Icekit flapped her tiny wings and flew up about a foot, "yes!" Meowed Icekit she tried to fly forward but fell to the ground, "mouse dung!" Cried Icekit, "I was soooo close!"

Yellowclaw took Stormkit to the leader. She looked at her leader proudly. Stormkit wobbled slightly but then steady himself on his own.

Frostpaw leaped landing gracefully on a mouse and killed it with one killing bite, she took the mouse to Lilywhisker and dropped it,"want it?" She nudged it forward, " thanks Frostpaw, but I already ate I'm sure another cat can enjoy it, you should put it in the fresh kill pile" she meowed "ok!" Frostpaw picked up the mouse and ran to the fresh kill pile.

"Yes." Yellowclaw said.

BlazeStar nodded. Her tail flicked. She spoke after studying the kit. "By the looks of him, he'll turn out into a great warrior."
