BlazeStar bounded after YellowClaw. She unfurled her dark ginger wings and took a bounding leap into the air. She glided over the torn-up camp wall and into Torpiea Forest landing with a soft thud barely noticeable.

Yellowclaw took off and she followed after her leader. She sighed.

BlazeStar quickly glanced behind her spotting YellowClaw among the clouds. She scented the air for any sign of bears and paced around a Juniper Bush. She might as well do the medicine cat a favor. And with delicate care she bit some Juniper of the bush careful not to crush it. She laid it in the shade of a birch tree to pick up later. She scented the air once more and caught the delicious scent of vole.

Yellowclaw landed then stalked around for prey. She sniffed around carefully

BlazeStar quickly skirted down wind of where she assumed the vole was. She crouched down low her tail sticking out like a twig in autumn. She carefully crept towards it, moving like a snake. She tensed and waited. BlazeStar leaped and pinned the vole down swiftly delivering a killing bite. Thank you StarClan for this creature's life so that the clan may eat. She quickly mumbled and scooped up the vole into her jaws.

Yellowclaw found a mouse but it was too late and ran away.

BlazeStar silently buried the vole next to the juniper berries. She ran deeper into the forest keeping in mind to be weary of old rusty bear traps. She sprinted at last into a clearing. She dipped her head down and drank sweet water from a pool as the birds chirped serenely above her. She stared down at her reflection, which startled her. She looked so... tense and weary. Was she always like that? With her luck a small trout had swam across her reflection. She lashed her paw out scooping it out of the clear water. Triumphant she picked it up between her teeth and headed towards the old birch tree at which she had place her vole, keeping in mind the location of the pool.

Yellowclaw continued to look for prey but she sadly couldn't catch anything no matter how hard she tried.

BlazeStar neared the birch and opened her jaw slightly and latched onto the Juniper stem. Then she dug out her vole and with a paw held it up to her chest and clamped her fiery chin down holding the vole between her chest and chin. She spread her ginger wings and awkwardly managed to get some lift to glide into the camp entrance. She padded forward dropping her catch onto a pile of leaves used to keep the prey from dirtying. She turned and watched the skies for any sign of YellowClaw.

Yellowclaw caught a squirrel just before it got away.
