I've stuck with IE for Sylestia ever since our conversation, while I use Firefox for everything else. Recently, I've started getting error messages on IE that Sylestia is not responding. I copied the most recent one, just in case it might be something you need to see.

I don't really know what I'm looking at.

What prompts this? Like, what's displaying this information?

What's "AppHangB1"?

When a Sylestia page won't load, IE offers to "close the program" or "check online for a solution and close the program" and offers me "details." These are the details of whatever-it-is about the page that is making IE throw up.

I have just now started using IE to check other websites for the same problem; as I said, I had been using IE for Sylestia only, as it solved the previous lag problem, and using Firefox for all other Web access (you should feel special, LOL!).

Haha.

What page(s) are causing the Site to hang up/get stuck specifically?

I've been keeping a tally all this time, Krin, and there are two pages plus one type of page that cause the site to "hang." The World Map page, my Missions page, and the profile page of a pet that is in my Stables. So far, profile pages of my Hatchery pets and of other people's pets (regardless of whether they are in Stables or Hatchery) have not caused the problem.

Seems like you only have issues with old layout pages, no?

I believe before you were having issues with the Social Network page, yea?

No, the previous issue could occur anywhere on the site, but it drove me insane on the Zone pages.

Here's a further weirdness with the pages that "get stuck" in IE; that is, the World Map page, my Missions page, and the profile page of a pet that is in my Stables. Instead of always telling me that "Sylestia is not responding, the error message sometimes tells me that I have no Internet connection. When it does this, I examine my connectivity and inevitably find that it is just fine. However, it looks like somehow the error, whatever it is, now and then causes IE to "think" that there is no connection.

I still haven't managed to get any other web page to replicate this error on IE (or on Firefox for that matter).

I just don't know what could possibly be the cause other than most/all of these pages use the old layout. Except, then I get complaints from other users saying that our new pages cause them issues... like Snow Wars and the new Proficiency Page.

Like, I can't think of a single reason the World Map page would cause issues... it's a very, very simple page. It doesn't hardly do anything but just load a few jpg images with some javascript.

It's just so extremely bizarre. =S

Krin, I think it has something to do with the advertisements. While struggling with the lag issue, I did not pay a lot of attention to the ads on Sylestia at first. My brain is trained to edit advertisements out of Web pages. However, I began paying attention to them recently.

On IE, where I do not have any kind of adblocker, the ads sometimes fail to show up. Instead, I will get a gray space that says something like, "Sylestia Ad Space. If you are seeing this text, it is because you are using a pop-up blocker," etc. I repeat, this happens in IE, where I do not have any kind of blocker installed. Ads also sometimes fail to show up on Sylestia in Firefox, where I have Sylestia whitelisted in my Adblock Plus. When I tried simply switching Adblock Plus off, I still got severe lag, and Sylestia continued to give me occasional "you are using a pop-up blocker" grey space, instead of an ad, in the absence of any kind of blocker.

I bought Diamonds with cash twice in September and twice in November, the most recent time being on November 27. I haven't purchased any Diamonds for cash since then. If I am understanding how the "passive way" to avoid seeing advertisements functions, my "immunity" to seeing advertisements due to my Diamond purchases ran out at about the same time I started experiencing the severe lag. However, I didn't realize I was getting lag that was unique to me until 03Feb17 (see first post in this thread).

Thoughts?
