Obviously Peacock Wings look better, but they can't be regenerated.

I don't know if you still need help with this, but if you do, here's a possibility:

You don't really need to read this, it's basically just advice on color scheming. And by 'advice' I really mean 'a rant'.

I think the design you came up with yourself is very pretty. However, when it comes to peacock color schemes, I personally think more royal blues and emerald greens as opposed to vivid purples and bright greens. As for the vines, I think gold is better suited than green because there's already quite a bit of green in the main design, and gold does more to show off the regal appeal of a peacock. These are just my opinions, though, so don't take them too seriously.

But I do have a tip for color schemes in general; try to make the main colors very clearly different. For example, navy blue and midnight blue as main colors is usually hard to do well, but navy blue and royal blue is easier, or midnight blue and bright blue. As for accent or secondary colors, complimentary (opposite side of the color wheel) colors are always easy to work with, but other colors can work nicely, too. For example, blue and gold are somewhat complimentary colors, but blue also works well with magenta or teal. Light and dark shades of the same hue typically go well together, as long as the brightness difference is clear enough to see. Of course, there are exceptions to all of these. You can make any colors look good together if you try hard enough or get lucky.

Sorry for my color rant, I just don't get enough opportunity to put my art class skills to use.

I think the problem you had is that peacocks are more of a deep blue than purple and the glow critter trait is a bit on the bright side, but nice combination of traits :)
