I keep thinking that Esior's Haven would make for a great jumping off point to other continents or islands eventually. I get occasional ideas about it when I look at the map and see it sitting there on the eastern coast. First, I wonder if the map gets redone, moving it closer to one of those river deltas. It would be advantageous to be both near a river and on the coast. It could be a busy hub for merchants with lots of ships at harbor. There could be rare traveling merchants that pop up from time to time that only give items to players of certain levels. Maybe a source of rare crafting supplies like silk? I'd also love to see some weird side quests that don't necessarily do anything with major storyline of the game. Maybe have fights with pirates or something.

I'd also love to see part of the zone having a beach. Perhaps sometimes something rarely gets washed up on shore. Maybe shells can be used for crafting, too.
