I have nurtured 6,446 pets as of now.
I have found 1 essence as of now
and it was for a regular essence species I don't really like....
What are the odds of finding essence when nurturing eggs?
IS THIS NORMAL OR AM I JUST RIDICULOUSLY UNLUCKY?!?!?!?!?!?!

The odds of finding an essence usually goes by the thousands i think. They are pretty rare to find. Which is why they can be a little pricey.
If you're looking for a particular species essence, you can use the advanced search to find the eggs/hatchling of that species to nurture until you get the essence. It takes extra effort though.

Really rare.
I've nurtured about 8,500 and I've only gotten two.
