Thought some nice thunderstorm Ny'venes might be kinda cool. Particularly those thunderstorms where you have the whole sky lit at once.

I had a hard time initially thinking of something because I wanted something a bit different. And I finally remembered something I loved to do as a younger child which was star gazing on summer nights.

During the summer, we take our cats outside. They eat a little grass to help their tummies, and they walk on our front walk. This Vulnyx pair signifies the green grass and the sidewalk, with a little bit of yellow for the summer sun.

My family used to go down to Cape Cod during the summer for a few weeks at a time, usually around the 4th of July, and into the later summer months to avoid storms. My mom and grandparents would spend their days lazing about on the beach, soaking in the sun, and generally enjoying themselves. I, on the other hand, I was a little trouble maker, and I'd grab my bike and sneak away for hours with a little packed lunch to go explore the numerous bike trails that connected the cul-de-sac we would stay at to a resort on one side, and the local Wampanoag reserve on the other. Along the bike trails, you could find huge, rough-barked dark trees, and sharp, scratchy yellowed beach grass. Once, I even saw a female deer on those bike trails.

With that in mind, I looked up a few pictures of the area we used to vacation at. Although I couldn't find any pictures of the bike trails, I did find some of the coastline, so I decided to make a pair of Faelora, to reflect the deer I saw, and design them to look like the beach, but produce offspring that remind me of the bike trail.

They both carry the genes for Okapi, Leaf Impression, Spotted Flower, and Glowing Fungus.

The Okapi marking gives their offspring a shadowy look, like they're darting through the patchy shadows of the bike trails. Leaf Impression reflects the trees along the bike trails, by calling to mind the dark and vibrant greens of the leaves, and leaving a winding tree shape on their backs. Spotted Flower brings the striping of dried beach grass to them, showing it being a bit more whithered than on their parents. Lastly, Glowing Fungus gives them the rough look of the bark of the trees along the bike trail.
