Scar closed his eyes and he sighed.

Ela went back to bed, and her coughing had become weaker and less frequent.

"May I ask what happened?" Scar called. "What happened during your procedure."

Jelen looked back at Scar and shook her head. She had spent hours removing all of the mirrors so that he couldn't see the gaping hole in his cheek. She had even went as far giving him an extremely rare medicine that would make his brain not even consider or want to feel his cheek. "I'll tell you a bit later, once I'm not so busy" She said as she left the house, first locking the doors and windows.

Scar nodded and he knew she was hiding something. He shuddered slight. How bad could it be? Not at all bad right? He didn't want to know now but it was too late. And he needed to know as well.

After a few hours, Jelen returned and said "Scar, I'll tell you how your cheek is, but first I need to patch up some of the ripped skin."

Scar nodded. He was shocked but he was also barely awake. His mind was slow.

After stitching new skin onto Scar's face, she applied a thick paste to it. It had a minty smell, and was bright green. "ok," Jelen said as she sat down. "When the doctors attacked you, it was with an acidic poison. If not treated within a day, it will start eating away the skin. So, I had to cut away the wound. It was deep, and I had to cut away a lot of your cheek. By the time I was done, there was barely any left. I stitched what I could, but this is the result." She showed Scar his face, which looked like someone had made an indent in it. The new skin and green paste hid the rest of the gaping black hole.

Scar tried to stay calm but he so badly wanted to scream. He closed his eyes. "I should have done something sooner." Scar growled. He wanted to call himself an idiot but he didn't

Jelen handed him a large jaw breaker and hard ball. "They help with stress, so knock yourself out" She said as she left.
