Scar nodded and looked at her. He smiled.

Shutting the door behind her, Ela took a deep breath of fresh air. She adjusted her pace to make it to the lake in 2 minutes. She smiled as she saw two bears lugging away corpses in bags. The plastic around the lake was removed, and she dove in. A few minutes later she strode out and dried herself. She trotted to the forest, not bothering to catch the mice or squirrels that were around. Instead, she stalked a deer that hadn't mutated and was grazing. She silently moved towards it, and at the last second pounced at it. She scratched at it's flank, and let it get free before chasing after it. There it was, the thrill of the hunt! She lunged around it, nipping its legs or scratching its flank. In the end, she sank her jaws into it's neck and panted. She laid down the body and left it alone, watching from a tree as a pack of un-mutated wolves carried it away.

Scar sighed and closed his eyes. He tried to sleep.

She lay in the tree, eyes closed and humming.

Scar managed to fall asleep.

Ela hopped down from the tree and went home, making sure to be quiet.

Scar shifted in his sleep. He dreamed of what he hoped would become his mate. He didn't want her to pull away.

Ela lay in bed, soon falling asleep.

Scar opened his eyes in his sleep. He woke up and looked around.

Ela was sleeping upside down, her feet on the pillow and her head on the end of the bed.
