idk if these have been suggested or not and if they are already out there

1. ok so i bought a pet and it like 20th generation well i want to buy a mate for it but dont want to spend the time to go through each generation and check if their able to breed there should be a way to enter like a pets url and see if their able to breed and what percent of inbreeding their child would be?? also if u breed through the breeding search their should be a way like the breeding grounds a Possible Offspring kinda thing ??(idk if there is already a way)

2. this is for all those users who leave and never come back but have loads of pets or any pets
i think there should be a way for the admins to like lock the account after so many days so the pets dont show up on breeding because i keep finding 1 i want to breed but i cant ever breed because they are unconscious. If the pet cant breed like it on a mission or is unconscious it shount show up bc it takes alot of time to surf through the pet.

3. Again with the never see users
if they arnt on for (this is just an example) lets say 100days the admin maybe lock the acc so pets dont show up for breed if they are on breeding and another 50days before the take the pets and either release them or like collect them into 1 raffle or 2 or a couple a year and users can have 1 free random pet and enter in the raffle t get pets or games the pets can be entered in small raffles or just all put up for sale for cheap?

4. A way to like like a pet so the owner can see how many likes OR/AND a way to interact with adult pets

5. A way to search forums for specific things ur looking for ? and a small area that gves u links to ur threads? and being able to deleted ur own threads??

6. Being able to search for things in ur wardrobe

7. Themes
ik it be alot more themes out there but maybe have like certain uktra rare themes be hidden in areas on the map

Nightfall Bandit Dungeon
have a shadow theme that only will appear here
or
Faerina's Shrine
have a fairy themed pet only appear here

I'm totally for adding a way to hide unconscious pets when searching. Even though you can technically feed someone elses pet, it would still be easier to just not have them show up. Alternatively, just having an option to hide any pets that are not eligible for breeding would be nice.

I doubt that pets will ever be removed from inactive users. Some people come back after years of inactivity (I took about a year break myself) and most people would be upset to find the pets they worked hard for are gone, especially those that paid real money for them.

Unless you're entirely focused about the pets being at 0% inbreeding, the only thing you have to look at to see if two pets can breed is their direct parental relationships.

Taken from this post of my 6-vis breeding guide:

A parent CANNOT breed with their child.
A sibling CANNOT breed with their sibling.

An Aunt/Uncle CAN breed with their Nephew/Niece
A grandparent CAN breed with their grandchild.
A cousin CAN breed with their cousin.

Anything beyond those relations can obviously breed together.


Now to put this back into a technical perspective, to make it seem a little less gross. The determining factor as to whether two pets can breed together is on the PARENTS. So long as the PARENTS are not the same on either side (same mother, same father, one pet IS the mother or father) then the pets are able to breed.

You actually don't have to look through the entire lineage of a pet for them to be breedable.

You can feed someone else's pet for the price of 250 gold on their pet profile page. Just beneath the View Prices and View Lineage on the pet's profile, it has "Feed Sylesti."

As well, if you know what you're looking for in the advanced search you can very easily narrow the results to find something closer to what you want, rather than looking through them all. Specifically, try looking up specific traits.

Assuming I read this all right... I just wanted to say that I definitely disagree with the idea of messing with the pets from an inactive account. Even if someone is gone, their pets are still their pets. Some people put a lot of time and effort into projects or create pets for sentimental reasons (such as in honor of a deceased relative or pet) and regardless of whether they're active or not, I hardly think it would be right for their pets to be randomly passed out like candy.

As well, there are several themed pets specifically that are held by inactive users but still put up for breeding. Locking the access away from those 'just because the owner is inactive' would be a great hindrance for the themed pet breeders.




At any rate, I hope the extra information may have helped? .__.; I can't imagine the tedious horrors of trying to look through 20 generations of pets to see if they're breedable. It really does all depend on the parents.

But if they locked the account, how would they be able to PM the admins. Since multi-accounting isn't aloud, they shouldn't be making another account to PM them. Plus, if guests were aloud to PM they might have a lot of random stuff that couldn't be replied to. So it would add tons of spam to there accounts.

Plus its really someones choice to leave, they shouldn't be punished for that. Sometimes I take breaks for periods of times because of being sick a lot. I also have school, friends, dance and other things that occupy my time. I really shouldn't have to worry about my pets being taken away from me. Specially when I have paid real life money for them.

Forum searches would be good, but I think they would be difficult to code because you would have to use specific words and phrases.

Links to threads would be amazing! Threads get bumped down so often, that I have a hard time keeping track of mine.

Deleting threads might not be a good idea. Normally you could ask an admin to lock it for you. But sometimes thread could be used as evidence if someone says something. If I screen shot it, and they delete it, they could say "I photoshopped it". Also, each thread as an ID. What would happen to those numbers? Would links change because the number dropped? Would there be dead pages?

This would be my dream feature :D I wish there was a option to sort/find items. I hate going through pages just to find one thing I'm looking for.

it would be good if theya are off for so many days the pets on breeding come off breeding bc it wastes space and makes it harder for ppl like me who search breeders and have to shift throught hundres of pets looking for 1s that are awake

i was looking for a the festival i lookinf for golden pearls it be easy for me to search golden pearl and the higllight the 1s thta are uk idk how to explain much more thean this

and i have threads i made and im done with and i want to delet but no way to do it? like have a way to have like a way to delet it and if an admin need to the can go back to the data in a way idk

Maybe they can add instead of loosing them, have them set up for borrowing (ex- 1 person not on for 100 days = pets set up so they can be cared for by others, when they get on again they get their pets back?

So, I'm probably going to repeat a lot of what Xavion said earlier, but here we go:

I am whole-heartedly against anything that would remove pets from an inactive user's account without their express permission. Whether they disappear for three years and return, or never return, those pets are their pets and remain their pets. Those pets are often bought with real-life money, or bred through months of selective breeding and deleting them, or, probably worse, allowing other people to 'borrow' those pets would be terribly impolite at the least. I know I would be incredibly angry if I took an extended break and came back to find that pets I had not set for public breeding had been used without my permission, or that pets I had worked hard for were suddenly gone.

On the subject of pets that are up for breeding on inactive accounts, I would also be completely against removing them from the breeding lists. Some of these pets are the only one of their theme with a certain trait. This is especially true of older or rarer themes. I would like to see a filter added to the advanced search that would allow users to have unconscious pets not shown, but that's about as far as I would like to go in 'removing' them from breeding potential. As has already been said: if you find a pet you like and it's unconscious, all you need to do is feed it yourself for a very low gold cost (trust me, once you're here a while, 250 gold is hardly anything), and you can breed with it right away.

On the plus side, I do remember Krinadon talking about doing something like #6, and I've seen #5 and #7 suggested a couple of times. I know someone addressed your problem in #1 already, and #4 I've seen suggested before, but haven't seen any feedback from admins on it. Oh! The other part of #1, with previewing offspring from other players: Krin's already said that's coming in the future too ^.^ (for the rest of #1, inbreeding does nothing to the pets, so unless you're picky about numbers, there's no reason to worry about inbred percentages). I.... think I've covered everything XD

Sorry for the strong responses on the inactive player things, but being a person who does leave games for a while and go back.... I know how I'd feel if those suggestions became reality (especially when there are other workarounds).
