This is inspired by Midsummer's Night's Dream, but not anything specifically in the play. Whenever I think back to the play, I imagine the fairies dancing together under the trees as the now golden sky is overcome by violet and the warm air is replaced with a cool night breeze. I would love to sit and watch such a sky transition to darkness in the summer.

This sylesti is inspired by the night sky. Fore i find great pleasure looking at the stars at night. It's ever so pretty so I decideed it would be beautiful to have a sylesti based on that very subject.

Night Storm Ny'vene

It's actually really rainy and thunderstormy in South Florida lately. ;w;
Every day has some sort of thunderstorm, and outside the windows, lightning flashes frequently.
So I made this ny'vene based on all the lightning and stormy skies that we've had lately. They aren't as dark, but it's just as dreary at night.

Summer Evening Aurleon

When I think of Summer I usually think of the evenings, surrounded by green trees as the sun sets and cicadas and crickets begin to sing. I used this picture as inspiration:

One thing that reminds me of summer is tomato plants. Every summer from when I was little, Grandma buys and plants two cherry tomato plants. Each summer includes going to her garden and searching for bright red little orbs of yum.

Ajisai

Ajisai was inspired by the beautiful parasols carried by many Japanese ladies during the warm, humid summers in Japan. My family and I were lucky enough to have lived there for four years. Pictures can not do it justice because it just has so many beautiful sights. One of my favorite things to see in the summer were all the different parasols, kimono's, and flowers. The whole experience was so different from where I grew up. It was just simply amazing.

I originally was basing this Sylesti on the beach, because when I think of Summer I think of weeks spent at the beach with friends and families, swimming in the waves, and biking around, and climbing in the dead forests . But now that I made my sylesti, I think it is more like a shipwreck, the ancient relics laying at the bottom of the ocean, where the fish swim, and the sun filters down onto it. The ones you see in movies, still partly intact, maybe even with a treasure chest hidden somewhere. The kind where, when you see it, you think if mermaids existed, they would be here. If I had this Sylesti, I would name her Atlantis, after ancient mysteries, and dreams swallowed by the sea.

I was thinking of the stars at night in the sky while laying in a field out in the country with not much pollution in the air to block the stars.

so this puffadore is a trumpet vine puffadore. every day i would see a trumpet vine from my living room window (sometimes there would be a humming bird. witch is why i added wings.) so it is supposed to look like a trumpet vine with flowers on it. i hope you like it. the trumpet vine blooms in the summer.

p.s. i would like a female puffadore if i win.

Elderbug

These creatures come out of hiding as the weather warms up. After mating, the females lay their eggs inside the bark of trees during spring and early summer. The hatchlings emerge in summer, and then they go back into hiding at the start of fall. Considered pests by many...

...I like to watch big groups of them (the adults and their young) clump together on blades of grass, flower stalks and at the base of trees.
