You walk down the busy streets of Esior's Haven. You stop at the entrance of a dead-end street, and look down it. At the end, there is a small, brightly colored building. You enter, and are greeted by a pretty Sylesti.
"Welcome!" She says softly. "This is Jade's Pages. A shop dedicated to encouraging writers and their
imagination!"



She wraps her tail around your leg and pulls you forward. Along one wall there's several low-walled pens. Inside are several tame Sylesti.
"Here are some Sylesti. They are for inspiration."
You nod.
On the other side are several desks with a stack of paper and some quills on each surface. "That is where the writers sit to write."
You sit down on one, picking up a red quill.

RULES:

1: Pick a Sylesti below, and write a short story about it. It has no name, backstory, or family until you create one for it.

2: If someone has already picked a Sylesti, feel free to pick it yourself as well. They will be changed out once a week.

3: No insulting or slamming of anyone or their stories.

4: At the beginning of each new week, I'll announce who has my favorite story. They will get to pick one male and female from my stables to breed, then they get the egg for free. *If the male you pick DO NOT have a breeding price on, they are not for breeding. I will breed the pets for you, however. All Ny'vene are also breedable, unless of course, they're related.*

5: Please ping me when you post your story!

6: You may write more then one story a week, but your first story that you post will be the one in the contest itself.

7: I will ping everyone who has posted on here when I update pets and when I choose a winner. If you do not want to be on the Ping list, please say so.

8: If no stories are written in a week, the pets will stay there, and no prize will be given out.

Here is my story, hope you like it!

A small, female Luffox ran along a well worn path, but changed into the middle for the forest. She was constantly looking behind her, seeing a dark red Vulnyx catching up to her.
Thunder roared, and the Luffox glance up at the sky, to see it gray. Rain started pouring down, making the ground slippery under the Luffox's feet.
Almost there, almost there! The Luffox thought.
The Vulnyx was now snapping at her short tail, and the Luffox tripped on a stone, sliding in the mud, almost hitting a tree, and falling down with a mud slide.
The mud slide quit in a ditch, by a river, that was raging along. The Luffox was unconscious, and covered in mud.
A group of Faelora ran past, and one young hatchling stopped to sniff the Luffox, but then moved on.
The rain stopped, and night fell, BAM, and two other Luffox's ran around, noses to the ground.
"Kia has to be around here somewhere!" a gray and blue, female Luffox said.
"Mom, it was a miracle that we even found her scent in the mud and rain!" the other one, a younger black and green Luffox rolled her eyes, "she is probably not even here!"
"Yes she is, Ivy, now hurry up, it's a wonder we haven't been caught by a Zolnixi or Vulnyx, or even a Morkko!" the older Luffox growled.
"Yeah, I can't say the same for Kia." Ivy mumbled, "ahh!" she tripped over something squishy. "Eww! Now I am covered in mud!"
"Oww." came a low moan.
The mother Luffox pricked her ears. "THAT WAS KIA!"
She raced over beside Ivy, skidding to a hault, and showering Ivy with more mud. The mother Luffox dug the purple and gray Luffox out.
"Kia! Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Lily, or mom." Kia said, sitting up.
"We were so worried! You never came home!" Lily exclaimed.
"well, some of us were worried." Ivy said to herself.
"Where were you?"
Kia had to tell her mother and sister all about the run from the Vulnyx, and the mud slide.
"We are going home, and you are staying there till you're older then me!" Lily said, walking toward their home.
Kia ran to catch up, "I'm not a hatchling anymore!"
"Same here." Ivy wiped the mud off her face.
"I was joking!" Lily laughed, "I am going to sleep for two days, see you two later!"
Kia looked at her sister. "Okay...."
Ivy shrugged, "I am going to find some dandelions."
Ha! The dandelions are all sleeping! Kia thought, I should go find a cave to sleep in....
Kia wandered around, until she found a large cave, and curled up in a ball by the entrance. But before she fell asleep, she heard heavy breathing behind her.
Kia looked behind her, and saw a large, male Morkko, his yellow teeth dripping with saliva.
"Really? Again?" Kia mumbled to herself, and leaped up, and out of the cave.
The Morkko roared and charged after her.
