Floating Crystals or Essence of Crystals. Initially wanted something Earthy to fit in with the other elemental Essence mutations, but I changed it into crystals since shiny things are generally nicer looking.
Version 2 with extra stripes:
Eyespots. Because Eyespots are awesome.

i cannot use the images provided. If i sound rude in this next part, please know i am very sorry.
If you have a REALLY good imagination, you will see what i am about to describe. Imagine your creature. Now the gene is nightmare runes. base color black on wing webbing. now add red, dark blue and a few white stars. add a few shooting stars, colored red. there you go! Nightmare Runes. or Galaxy Runes. Mute? Hmm, ever think of Angel Wings? No? Well, here you go! Just make it graceful please. Both G ana M would greatly help me make designs for my customers, bring them back! I want to do this for the people, not me. I'm sure many people who are like me will LOVE the G. And if you do like i do, and make collections of the MLP designs on your fave Sylesti, you will love the M. Win-win. Whoohoo!!!

How about Gold neck rings, And the creator can choose what color the gems are? ( F )
How about Vulnyx Teeth, Tail spikes ( M ) " Burnt Marshmallow " python pattern? ( M/F )

I had so many ideas, but I thought these were the best of them.
My mutation: Battle Wounds/Ragged Wings/War Scars
Torn wings, slashes, eye scar, all that good things that you would see on a tough nyvene. I got the inspiration from torn pirate flags and the other scar mutations.
My gene: Butterfly Markings/Monarch/Moth Markings
Butterflies have such pretty markings, I just couldn't help but make one. So many colors and designs create a lot of possibilities with the butterfly type markings. Some reference photos *in order of inspiration*:

I present... my mutation entry, Punk Rings!!!
Sorry about the sidewaysness, but basically there's a ring over the head, around both feet and around the tail. It may look like the mystic rings mutation on the aurleon and the faelora because it's based off of it. Also note the ear piercings and the three circles near the rings on the legs and the tail.
I'll add the gene tomorrow or tonight.

Put the Gene and mutation together. Gene is pretty much A yin and Yang style coloring the black being the gene color while the white is the body color. The mutation is based off of the mythical creature the basilisk (the ones with a lot of eyes anyway. Didn't draw too many as it would look weird if I tried adding more. xD ) It darkens the inners of the eyes to make it look a bit intimidating and to highlight the eye color more. The inners could be based off the mutation color while eye color is from.. Well the eye color.
Wow! I love it! It has to be chosen so I can get it :D

I'm not overly familiar with what constitutes a gene vs mutation so hopefully what I've got is okay
For the Gene I've got a painted look- the colours would be altered by maybe using the actual gene colour as an overlay/stain? hopefully you know what I mean >>;
