Hello,
Now I know I'm not at all the only person to be approached regarding the sale/trade of an unlisted pet, nor am I the only one to be asked the "Well IF you change your mind, let me know". Now normally this kind of thing may not be that big of an issue, as the discussion was polite, calm, and amicable.
My questions are:
Have you ever had some one ask about one of your most prized, very hard earned, pets that are not listed for sale even AFTER you've made it VERY clear that that pet(or pets) are not up for sale/trade and like 99.99999-100% never going to be for sale due to that pet(or pets) having special significance to you?
Have you had them get angry/upset/ect that they where refused/denied/declined/ect even after you've been as polite as you can with having to state the same thing to them more than once.
Have you ever had said person or people block you or continue to be all butt hurt because things didn't go their way?
Did you feel that they where behaving like they where entitled in that case?
I had an encounter with that, and got curious as to how many others may have come across the same thing.

Omigosh, all the time. Not even just on one site, it spreads and spreads and spreads.
The other thing I notice is people trying to guilt trip you. You say 'no', and then they go 'well that's the only pet I've wanted, and I guess I can't get it now.'
^That is the other worst thing.
But I just think it is a very rude thing to do to another person.
*puts two cents in*

Well yes I've had this happen to me, in RL too. It annoying and greedy. I mean if people don't want to sell to me I say "ok, if you ever don't want it anymore message me."

I've had people ask, they've always been cool when I said no. Sometimes we've worked out a trade on offspring or whatever instead.

That's the nice resolution type, which I normally encounter...
However, I'm asking about the type that attempts to guilt trip you, beg, and acts entitled to getting your prized pets from you even after you've denied their request several times and then they get so butt hurt by you refusing them that they block you.

I'd say it is technically a form of begging too, if some one insists that you sell to the/trade them/keep them in mind for a sale/trade that will never take place because said pet(s) they asked about are not ever pets that you want to sell because they are special to you. The user I dealt with, acknowledged that the sale would never happen because said pet in this case is very special to me, and STILL requested to be kept in mind even after being refused/declined 3 times in a row.
The way you handle it Homera is the correct way though.

Hmm. I've never had the pleasure of encountering that. There are two ways I'd be likely to handle a situation like this depending on my mood:
bad mood: Give 'em wot for. (bad idea)
good or neutral mood: Ignore and block (best solution!)
What I equally hate is when people try to aggressively coerce me into doing something, or buying something, that they want me to do or buy, but I don't want. And I tell them over and over: NO, and it's like I'm an alien or something.

I did my best to be firm, and give an in depth explanation because clearly a simple "the pets I'm selling are already set publicly" wasn't enough of an explanation for this person.
The person I dealt with blocked me lol.
All over the fact that I had denied/refused to keep them in mind for a never going to occur sale of my three vis Evergreen Puff: Elswyth Amarantha of whom is one of my most treasured pets and my very first 3-vis wheel pet.
Would you agree that it's a waste of time/energy to keep someone in mind for something that you know will never happen?

my two cents:
It depends. If they are very rude to you, and you're not going to forgive them, then yes. Waste of energy thinking about them. However, if they are polite to you about wanting to buy your thing, it is good to keep them in mind. Because you might change your mind in the future, even if you don't conceive of it now. (E.G. you might get bored of the game; you want to make sure all your pets go to good homes, etc)
