When you look out the window, you see a medieval sort of village, with simple houses, some sort of inn, and a store. It's on the edge of a dense forest. You don't see anyone on the streets, however. What could be going on?

As you look through the bag, you find a small notebook with a red leather cover, embroidered with silver runes you don't recognize, an apple, some trail mix, a water bottle, and a map.

As you look through the bag, you find a notebook with a blue leather cover, embossed with red runes you don't recognize, a few strange copper coins, a pen, some trail mix, a canteen, and a map.

Examining the map, you see a few distinct areas. On the edge farthest away from an illustration of a town, which must be where you are, is a drawing of a castle. To get to it, you'll have to go South through a desert, down a river, and over some mountains. To the West is the dense forest, to the East is a meadow which turns into a marsh before leading to the sea, to the North is a cluster of mountains surrounding a lake.

Which way do you go?

E) Stay in the town

Creeping close to the bag, you step on a creaky floorboard and freeze as you hear whatever is in the bag make a soft sound and poke its head out. It's a young male Puffadore! And he seems to have been eating some sort of cracker.

B) Try to catch him with the bag
C) Talk to him calmly to see if he'll come to you

You get out of bed and look around. Seeing no mirror initially, you head over to the wardrobe and open it. Still no mirror.

You rush through the village, stumbling a few times, but never falling, finally reaching the edge of the forest.
