The Main draft of the idea
The main idea behind this "food scent" is to help lure a specific species of sylesti to apear more frequently. THink of it as a perfume that atracts a species rather than themed pets. That is the over all gist of it really. Not flashed out I know ut it will come more further down.
The diffrent stages
So there will be several stages to this scent/perfume or what you want to kall it. I figured one per mapzone that is currently out would be nice, making it 3 with a potential 4th stage added.
stage1: "Novice scent of ****" is the cheapest and least reliable stage. 4% chance
stage2: "Aprentice scent of ***" is the stage that have a slightly more reliable effect. 8%chanse
stage3: "Talented scent of ***" is the second highest and the best of the "normal" ones. 16%
stage4: "Master scent of ***" is the highest grade of the sent you can make. 30%
The diffrent ways of making them
stage1: "Novice scent of ****" requiers the following ingredients:
secret springwater x4
food stock x2
glassbottle x1
fake luckscroll x2
*The springwater will rarley be dropped by the last boss in the "nightfall bandit dungeon" in the first map section.
*Food stock will be dropped by either a wild sylesti or by exploring. Rarly a sylesti will drop the food stock needed for its own species. This means that people will have to trade for it since you dont really want to kill the specis you are trying to get.
*Glassbottles might be dropped ocasionally in the nightfall bandit dungeon by the bosses.
*The fake luckscrolls will drop rarly by myconoids.
stage2: "Aprentice scent of ***" requiers the following ingredients:
"Novice sent of ***" x4

food stock x4
glassbottle x1
Lucky scroll x4
*The Novice sent of ***" will have to be crafted by the player or a other one.

*Lucky scrolls will rarly be found at the graves at the "guarden of magnates"
stage3: "Talented scent of ***" requiers the following ingredients:
"Aprentice scent of ***" x5
Holy water x16
food stock x8
glassbottle x1
Lucky amulet
*"Aprentice scent of ***" will have to be crafted.
*Holy water will be found rarly by fighting the mermaid boss in Astryls Tranquility
*Food stock will be dropped by either a wild sylesti or by exploring. Rarly a sylesti will drop the food stock needed for its own species. This means that people will have to trade for it since you dont really want to kill the specis you are trying to get.
*Glassbottles might be dropped ocasionally in the nightfall bandit dungeon by the bosses.

stage4: "Master scent of ***" requiers the following ingredients:

These "perfumes" will NOT effect the chanse of encountering rare sylesti.
They will NOT work in the feast areas (maze, map and so on)
They will NOT attract themed pets
They will NOT make the sylestis spawn on maps they dont naturally spawn on.
They last about 10min or a set amount of steps.
They will increese the chanse of encountering the species of the scent used. Meaning "Scent of kelpari" will enhance your chanse of meeting a kelpari

At this point in time, we won't really be changing anything with the content of the first 3 regions of Sylestia.
However, your idea is a 'thing' in the MegaZone. You will be able to specifically increase the changes of encountering specific species of your choice via one of the new features introduced with the MegaZone.
This required completely rewriting the algorithm for enemy encounters and creating the feature to boost encounter rates - so it will only be available for the MegaZone.
We will have this as part of the core game after our Relaunch, though.

I can lock the thread if you want me to. But I don't mind allowing others to comment with their feedback though.
