This thread should be in the off topic forum, as it's not Sylestia related.

Just wanting to let you know.

it's all about perspective.

from my perspective, i was going to do some digital art for sylestia, therefore it does in fact relate to sylestia.

In that case you may want to add that to your post, that way our admin doesn't end up moving it to the off topic forum.

SAI is great, but I seem to have lost the download link I used, sorry :>

Another nice program is MyPaint. It's not as popular, but it's really user friendly - and totally, legally free! When I was first starting out with digital art it made the transition a lot easier. There are lots of brush packages available for it too!

This should be in off-topic discusson, or the art forum. :O Anyways...

GIMP is another legally free, digital imaging program.

It is similar to Adobe Photoshop, and compatible with Linux, Windows and Mac... but it's super not user-friendly. It's definitely more advanced though. I think it can use Photoshop brush packages, so there are endless options.

I don't use GIMP (I have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription) but I use to in high school. It is possible it is more user-friendly now as I used it 5 years ago.

Good luck/have fun!

Not sure how it compares to other things listed here, but I use FireAlpaca. :)
