I have the design and everything but i can't generate it

you have to load your essence (no essence loaded rectangle) and click on the kind of essence you have / want use (mystical, Enhanced, Regular) the kind of essence selected will be in blue. when you have it just click Load Essence and generate your pet (don't forget to put your designe in the generator)

You can find essences by nurturing, exploring/fighting, and opening satchels from doing missions.

or you can try to buy one for gold in the broker, that's somthing i do often

just go on the broker, where it's write type: Relic click on the arrow and select the essence section. Sometime people post cheep essence, that can take a little bit of time but with the mission at your level you can get 20,000 gold by day. If you keep the gold for a while you can buy regular essence with it, it's usually around 40 000 gold for an essence but again it depend of the rarity and the specie of the essence.
