I was looking at the Unofficial and brief newbie guide and was looking at the battle bit of it. I'm wondering why my battles look so different (plain with no buttons and pictures) from whats shown there? Is that a display setting for my account? How do I change it?

If so, it depends on what region you're currently battling your way through. Viridian Meadows and Umbra Forest are like the first image (the backgrounds change to fit with the theme but that's about it) while Astryl's Vale (and Festival Zones) are like the second image.

I just completed the Troll quests the caves in the starter world but when I went back to Elsior's Haven there was a bunch of lvl 11 enemies and some guy named Tyrielle (the Greedy) She was hard and my pet lost after a long battle. I have found 1 egg and captured another Aurellia. I hope to use them soon.

You're welcome.

Yes, that was a mini-event - they happen throughout the day in various locations. You don't have to participate but you won't be able to access the area where the event is taking place until its over. If you look under the Home - Account - Explore - Trade - Games - Shops - Social section when there is an event ongoing you'll see its status - First Wave / Second Wave / Final Wave / The Boss.

Yeah I found somewhere to increase my party but forgot where. I also just got a Lupin? essence so I wanna see about that. I'm really liking this game. I can't play enough lol

The Plaza in Esior's Haven and/or Sanctuary of Saerielle is generally where you can upgrade your party size although you do need to have reached certain points in the storyline to be able to upgrade.

Lupora Essence? Congratulations! There's generally three types of essences: regular (blue), enhanced (purple), mystical (gold). You can use them in the Generator to create Sylesti - a regular essence allows you to select two trait points (so either 1 visible or 2 carried) and the colours (although the accuracy is not 100%) or you can sell them for gold on the Trade Broker :)

Trying to figure out my builds on both. I looked through the player guide board but I can't find list of attacks?

Both of my creatures have the same basic move that does magical damage is that because they are both magic creatures?

Can I make one of them physical damage dealer or what creature should I acquire to take on that role?

Whether your pet is a physical or magical dealer depends on which stat is greater on its profile.

For example, this girl is my magic dealer because of the following:

Physical Damage: 145
Magical Damage: 651

While, this boy is my physical dealer because of the following:

Physical Damage: 651
Magical Damage: 145

Physical vs magical isn't determined so much by the species but rather by how you allocate its stat points and what the pet's relic deals in damage. Strength is physical, intelligence is magical, agility is both. You generally pick strength or intelligence not both. You also need to check that if your pet is a magic dealer, that its Relic deals magical damage (not physical or a split between the two) and similarly, if you pet is a physical dealer, that its Relic deals physical damage (not magical or a split between the two).

Ok but what about "focused attack" It says it deals magical damage so does that mean that both pets are magic dealers or that they both just have a magical attack?

NVM that last question I figured that out :)

I really need that third pet slot the boss in Fungus Grove was difficult. I had to use two revive potions. Anyways the Veridian Tower is lvl 20. At what point can I get the third pet slot? I really need a third fighter.
