WORK IN PROGRESS

As he stared outside the closed gates into the arena he felt a lump in his throat apear from nowhere. Nervously he svallowed and looked towards the magical cage covering the top of the massive arena. Beneth the magical cage was a huge, massive and incredibly strong beast. Scales as large as three humans in width, and just over one in length. Its durabilty, harder than steel, only weapons infused with magic from the most powerful of wizards can harm these creatures. Its larg red scaly body, eyes golden and shining brightly, teeth loong enough to impale a tree from the top to its roots. The massive white teeth was shimmering in the light of the magical orbs floating around in the air. The claws the same colours as a ravens feathers during nighttime. Its size as larg as the lords castle. In all honesty, maby even larger. "Heh, dont tell me the big strong worrior is scared?"a soft, almost affectionet voice was heard from behind.

His Brightblue eyes looked over his shoulders and he smiled gently. "Scared? No way! Im gonna win for sure. Dont worry Il make sure to get you that eye" he replied smiling while his head tilted to his left. The darkbrown hair danced by the gentle movement his head made. The soft strainds of hair had barley stopped moving before they begun to dance once more as the girl throw herself into his arms. He looked down on her soft, pastell yellow coloured hair a few moments before he layed his arms around her. He could feel her soft curves, her warmth and her soft, sweet smell. Roses, always roses. "Lovisa?" he said going down on his knees looking up on her. The girl looked into his brightblue eyes with her chestnut, warm eyes, stroking him over the cheek before nodding. "I swear to you Lovisa, Il get the eye and thus your father wont be able to refuse me" he said smiling. The two year older girl nodded slowly before bending down and gave him a gentle kiss. "Be carefull, the eye matters not if it have to come from someone else so make sure you return" she said in a low whispering voice. He nodded smilingly as he gazed up upon her. "Il be watching from upstairs." was all she said before walking away leaving him in the dark passageway.

As he looked at her walk away he couldnt help but smile as her soft and gentle movements hypnoticed him. He stood on his knees looking after her a loong time before he realiced that he no longer could see her. Slowly he got up on his feet and brushed of the sand before turning to the yet closed gates that seperated him and the massive beast in the arena. As he heard metall move above him he raised his eyes and glared at the chain that had starting to move. As he saw the gate go up in the courner of his eyes he looked at it before swallowing one last time. Silently he grabbed the spear that had been resting against the wall. The green scale that the blade was made of glimmered as he entered the light of the orbs floating around the arena. As he relaxed spun the spear a bit the magic that was infused in the weapon begun to show. His leatherwest had a soft, well worn tunic under it, soft and comfterbal pants that went in sharply into the leatherboots that stopped right under the kneecaps. Not really the most well equiped challanger for the arena. No fame to his name and as far as people know, no chanse of surviving. yet people had turned up, in the hopes to see atleast a slaughter of the young boy hoping to acheive something. Grasping for the last thread that keept him from falling from the cliff. For those upstairs, sitting in the arena, this is only entertainment, nothing more than something to past time with.

As she sat down she corrected the skirtpart of her dress so it rested without a single wrinkle upon her lap. The darkblue dress went well togeather with her soft, somewhat pale skin. The soft and pastell yellow hair rested over her left shoulder. To her left was a man, his hair just as soft yelllow as her own, his eyes darkblue and fully concentrated on the arena. "I take it you said good boy to him" his voice was calm and collected yet still with a hint of disgust in the background. "Father dear, it sounds like you are counting on his demish before it have been played out" she noted and looked at her father. A elegant face indeed, sharp and really pleasent to look at, just like mothers. "The boy have no finess with the magic he posses and he have no experience at all fighting a dragon, I am only telling you that the odds of him surviving a starclass monster ... its 0.01% and that is beeing optimistic." he told back glaring at her daughter. Silently she glared back at her father that was resting in the seat next to hers. "Father, thatdoes mean there is a chanse. I prefer to lean on that rather than dispare" she answered. The two glared at each other and he slowly hold up two fingers. "It took me two days" he said all of a sudden. "Two days?" Lovisa asked now with a confused face. "I had to weaken it for two days as well as putting a highlevel sealingspell on the beast. And I am a grandmaster, now how do you feel about the odds?" he asked. As he glared at his daughter he couldnt help but feel flusterd. She is smiling?! How can she still be smiling? "oh father dear, he promissed me, so he will return to me" she replied calmly with a gentle smile.
