How do you unlock party slots so i can bring more then one pet with me?

At each area that you complete, you will be able to purchase another party slot. When you first join, you are given 1 party slot as default. After that, when you unlock Esior's haven, you are able to purchase another party slot from the Plaza. The 3rd party slot will be available when you unlock Sanctuary of Serielle. They will all be available in the town plazas

:( It's telling me to check the quest board for any quests that could allow me to catch a syestia, which I completed for Jinxie, but it isn't letting me get any more slots! Xc I would really love the help if you could spare it...

There is a guy, William the Hunter, in the plaza. You can go to him to expand your party to two. Once you get to Umbra Forest, you will be able to go to the guy in the plaza there to get your third party slot which is currently the maximum amount of pets you can have in your party.

I keep pressing "I" and clicking on the trap then the sylestia,but it won't let me capture it,why is that? I have 2 party slots,plus an egg I found,but why won't it let me catch a sylestia?

you need to have your pet(s) in your party preforming an action (attack, quck attack, defend, mend, etc.) and hit the "end turn" button. there is a chance that the trap will fail, or the pet will run.
