Hello! After a very successful start (and mid-point) to the Winter Fest, I've decided that I have in my stables too many mouths to feed. Therefore, I'm hosting a design contest in order to get rid of a few extraneous themes.

Each round, designers will be prompted with either a palette or pattern, off which they need to base their designs. During palette rounds, designers must use the colors within the palette, and no other colors. Each color on the palette must appear at least once. During pattern rounds, designers must use the palette provided within their pattern, and base their design off the pattern. Pattern rounds will be the elimination rounds.

Each round will last approximately one week. If all designers get their designs in on time, the next round may progress sooner.

Round 1 - Palette
21 designers will be assigned a palette to use, and a species of Sylesti to design. No designer will have the same palette, and no designer will have the same species.
Round 2 - Palette
21 designers will be assigned a palette to use, and the choice of 6 Sylesti species. No designer will have the same palette.
Round 3 - Pattern
21 designers will be assigned a pattern to use. No designer will have the same palette. All designers will use the same assigned species. Seven designers will be eliminated.

Essentially, there will be two palette rounds, followed by a pattern round. Each round, the number of eliminations will, obviously, decrease. Round 3, seven designers will be eliminated. Round 6, five designers. Round 9, three designers. Round 12, one designer.

Round 13 - Free
Users can browse palettes on ColourLovers.com to choose their own palette, and a species of Sylesti to design.

Each round will last approximately one week. If all designers get their designs in on time, the next round may progress sooner.
