[To get good/perfect names for these beautifully gorgeous pets, I searched up the theme; i.e. Passiflora Alata, Arctic Storm, and Pink Gladiolus]

#1 - Mellow Cream. Confectioners divide candies into different categories. Candy corn is in the "mellow creams" class of candies.
#2 - Lambent Luck. The word "lambent" means "moving around or flickering."

#4 - Lammergeier. Pronounced with a hard g, and the ei like a long i: LAM er GIE er. Huge bird famous for its ability to break bones. Also unusual in having a diamond-shaped tail. Recently discovered to be more closely related to hawks than to vultures. See image below.**
#5 - Golden Bellflower. A type of ornamental plant.
#6 - Galdring. Singing a rune.
#7 - Blackcurrant. Name of a plant that produces tasty dark red, nearly black berries.
#8 - Girasole. Pronounced with a hard g and a long o: GEER a sole. Literally means "spinning sun," but the word is actually the proper term for "a fire opal with particularly flaming colors."
#9 - Cerise. Bright reddish-pink.
#10 - Zinnober. Pet #10's eyes are a shade of bright green that artists used to call "zinnober." That was back in the old days. Now they call it "chrome green." I like "zinnober" better.
