I've noticed that all creatures only lay one egg at a time, is this always going to be the case or will it be possible to get multiple eggs at once even if you can't keep them all but you still get a choice between which one you want to keep. Just because I love getting hatchlings but they take quite a while to hatch and you only get one per breeding. If anyone knows anything on this topic please say. Thank you for reading!

I'm pretty sure that it is always just one egg per breeding.

The idea of multiples sounds pretty cool though, as a potential feature. I think it would have to be a rare occurrence with how the breeding system is, but if every once and a while you got twins? That'd be neat

Yeah that sounds good or maybe you could always get two or three eggs but you only get to select and keep one?

But where would the other egg or two go? What would be the point of having a choice between eggs if you still only get one of them, and the others just disappear? And if they went to some free for all like on dragcave.... I would definitely not like that. I don't want people being able to pick up my nearly completed project offspring (or completed offspring!) simply because I chose the wrong egg.....

And... to be honest... once you've been here a little while, you end up with so many eggs in your hatchery that multiples seems an overwhelming thought, except as a really rare case. (I have 12 pages of pets in my hatchery, and this is a slow week >>)

edit: also.... this probably belonged in the Suggestions forum lol

I see what you mean but sometimes the wait can be ages to just get one egg from a particular pair. Or as someone else suggested we could occasionally get more than one but not every time.

But the wait is part of what makes any particular baby worth anything. I know it's strange to think that way when you're new (I felt like it took forever to have adults and be able to breed when I first started, and that getting what I wanted took a lifetime!), but it really isn't that bad having one egg per pair. Give it a couple of months. You'll probably discover that you're overrun with eggs, and you'll probably also notice that we already have a crazy number of eggs and pets being sold for 1 gold because there are WAY too many pets that people don't want to begin with, but don't release for some reason >> Even now, with me breeding only the pairs I want to breed, I end up releasing more than half of them, because I refuse to under-sell the babies I don't need.

Having a small chance for twins would be novel, and I wouldn't mind this (as long as I get to keep both), but two or three or more all the time? Too many in an already glutted market, sadly.

Haha I see what you mean, thank you, but identical twins occasionally would be cool! ^-^

Like suppose there were twins one time in every 10,000 breedings. If Sylestia had been this way since it began, there would only be 156 more pets than there are right now. It would just be a cool little bonus that you could announce to your friends: "Hey, wow, my Cerulean Zolnixi pair just produced twins! Is that not cool?"
