As I've said in my Lighira breeding thread, I have literally no idea which genes and mutations are best for pets, and I've come up with two pairs of Aeridini. If anyone can help me figure out which ones to breed with which, that'd be great! (As well as prices for the offspring, if possible).

I'd suggest looking at colors as well as traits, Snowy. For example, consider The Light Snake and The White Snake.

TLS's Mutation Two color is near-black. TWS's Mutation Two color is also near-black. The offspring of these two will likely have a Mutation Two color that is also black or close to black. So far, so good.

However, TLS's Eye Color is also near-black, while TWS's eye color is olive green. Their offspring is likely to have an Eye Color that's sort of muddy brownish-green. Unless muddy brownish-green is what you're going for, you should probably dye the eye color of one of them before breeding them to each other.

Likewise, TLS's Mutation Three color is near-white, while TWS's Mutation Three color is dark brown. The offspring's Mutation Three color will probably end up some sort of tan--fine if this is what you want, but is it?

If you look at pets that people are selling very cheaply, you'll see that many of them have dull colors: gray, greenish tan, grayed pastels, muddy brown, etc. These pets are the unfortunate results of breeding without considering color combinations.

Dye is your friend.

Ah, thank you for the help, and yeah I'll go get some dye XP

By the way, what IS a breeding project? I kinda just put it down as I saw what everyone else was labeling their posts in breeding that way
