Sometimes I rather like a pet, but the color on a gene/mutation doesn't look good among the base colors. I sometimes tend to have to avoid catching [or buying] an otherwise appealing pet due to no current option to remove said genetic trait.
Perhaps it could be a feature available through the Scale Shop? Possibly for a good portion less than the Lesser Genetic Mutator due to it doing little benefit in terms of adding monetary worth to the pet it's used on [that I know of].

I think this is a great Idea! It would be nice if you could choose whether to just make it carried or get rid of it entirely. I personally don't like the Butterfly Wings on Zolnixi and there's been so many times that I like a zolnixi and I'd get it if it wern't for the wings.

I agree wouldn't it be terrible to have a realistic pet you really want so to say but it has bright pink butterfly wings or some mutation that ruines the whole look.(How many pets have I seen like this? 5,10...1000?)

Maybe it could even be something like the genetic mutators, where you can transfer the trait you don't want into another random trait, and then have a greater version where you can transfer it into the trait of your choosing. @.@ I would be totally into that.
EDIT: But you can only use it once like the genetic mutators, not trying to suggest something game breaky here. XP

I think this is a great idea.
I don't know how many times I've seen pets that I'd try to capture if not for say, a pair of wings that were a hideous color and completely ruined the rest of the pet. I came across a Zolnixi the other day that would've been stunning if not for the olive drab color of the wings.

Yes please! I've even gotten to this awkward point where I avoid BREEDING certain pets simply because they carry something that could make an otherwise pretty pet look hideous. lol

We'll add this in next Diamond Shop update (Doesn't mean this will cost Diamonds, but we're planning on adding some new philters/changing old ones).
We will also add in the Gender Swapping philter too.
And maybe something else too - I feel like I'm forgetting something.
