This is really weird and random, but here it is:

Backstory: Our world is very simple. But a far more complicated parallel word exists alongside ours. It's name? Sylestia. In this world, there are no "humans." Instead, everyone is an animal called a sylesti. There are many breeds of this species. Most sylesti act just like humans do. But their scientists have discovered a way to effectively time-travel. There is one brave sylesti that has volunteered to be the first sylesti to time travel. Her name is Elizabeth. She was sent off perfectly in her shuttle to what people thought was just a day ago, but the system malfunctioned, so she was accidentally sent much farther back; years, in fact. She was sent to England in the year of 1533. Her destiny was pre-decided for her. She was to be Queen Elizabeth I. When the real Elizabeth was born, she died very soon afterwards, but during the night, Elizabeth swapped places with her before her mother could come into the room and find a corpse. She became the successful queen that is equivalent to our world's Queen Elizabeth I. One day, however, the time shuttle, which she had buried in her yard, was struck by lightening. When she went outside and dug it up to see what damage had been done, the electricity caused the machine to work again and it sent her back to the present day. It was only about a week that she was gone in the present day, while she was in the past for years. She never could adjust back to her old life, so she died a few months after returning.

Backstory: Woody was originally a tree spirit, living inside an old elm tree in the Umbra Forest. He lived a simple life, guarding the tree he lived in and making sure there was plenty of blessings to go around for those that rested underneath his branches.

One day, he saw a lonely boy coming towards his tree, bruised and battered. Curious about the boy, he calmed his mind and linked it with him. And that was when he first saw the darkness of the world. Poor boy was beaten by his drunken father every day, some days less severe, some days more. The tree spirit was determined to save this boy. So, using the forbidden magic to turn himself into...well, something, the tree disappeared from where it stood and the new Luffox ruffled his fur.

The boy, surprised, took the newly formed Luffox and hid him away from his father, taking care of him, even giving him a collar to claim that he was his. He managed to convince the boy to run away and start over. And so the two ran, traveling to Viridian Meadow to live amongst humans. From then on, the boy and Woody- as cheesy as the name was, though Woody didn't know any better- lived happily and simply as can be.
