I have finally organized my Stables post-Festival. They won't stay this way, so feel free to observe and take screenshots of what is probably a once-in-a-lifetime event.
I haven't finished labeling everything yet, but hey, it's an accomplishment.
I organize my Stables by starting with the first three tabs of the first stable. I begin with Mission Pets, so that I can find them quickly. The second tab is pets that are For Sale, so other people can find them quickly. The third tab is where new pets "come in for a landing" and stay until I can fit them where they belong.
After the third tab, I begin placing pets by species and then by theme, going alphabetically. So the Aeridinies come first, and the Zolnixies are last. I thought about doing them in reverse alphabetical order, but that would probably confuse everyone who isn't me. (Did anyone else learn to sing the alphabet backward when you were a child?)
Within each species, I place the bets alphabetically by Theme. So, among the Aeries, my one little Angelfish comes first, the Tiger Lilies are last of the Themed, and then I place the non-Themed Aeries. Within each Theme, I place them in order by level, highest to lowest. If a Theme has both a Collector's Edition and a Modern version, I list all the CEs first, then start over with the Moderns. (Take a look at my first stable, in the Fauntleroy tab. The Tiger Lily Aeries illustrate the CE/Modern separation very well.)
So, if you don't want to take screenshots of my awesome, briefly organized Stables, post here and tell everyone how you organize your Stables. Who knows, perhaps you'll inspire somebody to strike a blow in the cause of Order!

I have no idea how my stable is organized anymore. I did have a system before this festival but that system has gone out the window, and I don't like the old system!! I had it like:
tab 1: party and mission pets
tab 2: project sylvorpas
tab 3: spring festival themed and fabled
tab 4: miscellaneous - or rather: "wtf do I do with these lovely pets that serve no purpose"
tab 5: Summer themed and fabled
tab 6: All zolnixi
anything after that is reserved for - fall themed and fabled, and more miscellaneous.
I am in the process of trying to organize my pets, but that just results in me staring at the tabs despondently and wondering why I named them all after scientists.

My two stables are now organized. Lookie! lookie!
I started with stable 2 and was going to go alphabetically when I realized about 1/3 of the way through that I hated that idea, so I modified it to place animals together that I feel matched each other. Unfortunately, the only problem I see is with Luporas and Zolnixis...those two should be together, but I want lupora to be in tab 1, and I wanted Zolnixi to be at the end.

You have cool names for your tabs, but...is it possible you're overthinking this?
Different subject--that's a really nice Tamed Lunemara in your first stable. I can see why you wanted to catch it. I just had to catch this girl, even though I have no use for her at all--

Congrats on such a feat, Space! I'm impressed you alphabetise so thoroughly. Never mind by level too.
Amarok, if you want Lupora at the start and Zolnixis at the end, why not think of your sorting as edges to centre, rather than start to end?
I doubt mine will ever be truly sorted, but they're better than they used to be. At least they were until about an hour ago when half my hatchlings became adults and invaded my stables in a hostile take-over! I used to have my Mission/Party pets in the first stable, but due to my procrastination of sorting out my hatchery, it was constantly messy.
So I reorganised:
Ingress - basically hatchery over-spill and pets needing sorting.
Sales - sort of arranged into Vorps/Not Vorps/Themed.
Prime - MDK (Murder/Death/Kill), Mission and pets that I love, my Glompies.
VP1 - Vorpa project 1. Always messy. Project is sorta fail monkey, really.
VP2 - Vorpa project 2. Slightly less messy due to being better organised about this project.
Webbed Wings - :D Webbed Winged Vorps that I wanted to keep.
Mystic Fins - As above, but for Mystic Fins. (Both head and tails)
Coloration - I'm not fond of this name, but it has Vorps whose colour I find interesting and want to do something with later.
Shiny - Themed Vorps, all my generated pets (apart from VP2 related) and Vorps with 5/6 vis who I periodically smoosh together to see what comes out. (Very technical process :P)
Ryori - Ryori in various stages of sorting. Mostly Petal Marking/Wreath.
Ryori II - Ryori over-spill that became its own thing. Non-petal Ryori.
Aur Kelp Griff - This used to be just Griffi, but I've lost interest in them. I'm slowly selling them. I've found a fondness for Aurleon and Kelpari this Fest. It's mostly my Not Vorp/Ryo stable.
Mayhem - Complete mess. Vorps that I haven't sorted through since I re-organised my stables.
14 & 15 - Stables bought for future-proofing.
There are pets still not sorted due to the chaos from Fest/BF/procrastination/distraction. Most of my stables are basically housing Vorps.
