This is a story of a pink haired girl and a fox. c:

Once upon a time, there was a young girl who felt for no reason at all, very lonely in Sylestia. She wondered if she'd be lonely for longer, and then heard a rustle in the grass.

She went over to look, and found a tiny Zolnixi hatchling sulking by himself. The boy seemed broken, saddened by something, and the girl was astonished, for his parents were nowhere in sight.

"Nixiii," the young girl cooed. "Why are you alone? Where's your mommy and daddy?"

The nixi made soft huffs as the girl picked him up. "My mommy and daddy told me I can't be part of their family."

"What??" the young girl cried. "That's not right, they're your mommy and daddy!!"

"My mommy looks really pretty," the nixi whimpered. "She has these pretty necklace thingies and these sparkly flame thingies and wings...and my daddy has three tails and swirly things all over his body...but they said that I only have one of their many things, and that I can't be part of their family..."

The girl pouted, knowing that breeding was complicated, but discarding children was heartless. She pondered it for awhile, then, her eyes brightening once more, she plopped the nixi onto her head. "Well, that's okay!" she chirped, "you can come with me then!"

"What do you mean??" the nixi asked, pawing her head and looking down at her strides. "Where are we going? What are we doing? Am I going to like this?"

"We're gonna have fun, you and me!" the young girl replied happily.

The young girl and the young zolnixi went and had adventures together.

They shared cookies with each other, fresh from Esior's Bakery...

Gathered Fairy Mushrooms from Fungus Grove for trading...

Beat up a certain bandit leader's butt...

and along the way, strengthened the nixi in heart and mind to fend for himself, and to be a great ally.

Time flew, and the bond between the young girl and the nixi grew. The nixi also matured into a strong adolescent, pure minded, pure hearted, and filled with fire and purpose that the young girl gave him every day, since the day they met. The two went everywhere together, across the meadows, conquering bandits, myconids, and dungeons. They were unstoppable.

The young fox was fond of the young girl. He wished to repay him somehow for filling the void his parents left in him. As he grew into a stronger nixi, he wondered what was a good way to say thank you for everything the young girl has done, even if it was just providing companionship.

Then it struck him.

One day, a certain admin dinosaur was busy, tapping away at the codes that built up the castle laying in the center of Sylestia. The work was tedious, but he knew that as the sole creator of this world of dreams, the only way to achieve bigger victories, fame and power and might, was to open the gateways into thi--

"Why is there a nixi in my room?"

The nixi had a small request to make to this humble coding dinosaur, and climbed onto his chair, whispering in his ear a little wish for him to fulfill. The admin listened intently, considering this nixi's request.

The nixi was away for quite some time, and the young girl got worried, wondering where he could have went.

"Look at me!" a boy's voice spoke.

When the young girl turned around, she noticed a young boy was of a familiar dark blue, with zolnixi ears, tails, and familiar wings glowing from his back. She wasn't sure what to make of him. But when the boy got close to her, face to face, the features and the eager smile reminded her of the young nixi that she has been traveling for the last several weeks. His ear flickered, seeing in her eyes the recognition that he was her friend.

But how, the young girl wondered. How did her zolnixi friend turn into a human (with wings and ears and a tail)??

And the young boy simply said that there was a helpful admindino that was happy to help.
