I made nico... I absolutely love the percy Jackson series... I am startingon the second series right now but this is why I chose things

Zolnixi I chose because he could be a hellhound if he was an animal... Like Mrs. O' Leary

Mutations and genes:
I chose the stubby tail because I pictured hellhounds with stubby tails
Shaman feathers I chose because there was a skull there
Spirit wings I chose because he is in the underworld and also because it could represent the souls going around him... I thought it was a cool thing.

Witch doctor I chose because there was a rib cage in it
And frost runes I chose because it looked like something maybe taking over him or something.

I dunno why, but I always think of dark angel colors as black and purple and smokey colors.

I chose qitari because they seem like the most joyful sylestis in sylestia.

Traits:
Star runes, I just really love star runes and it makes them look even more nice.
Rainbow scales, we were asposed to create a rainbow sylesti so the mane and scales fit.
Rainbow mane, same as above
Pegasus wings, the ends of the wings apparently fit in perfectly with the scale color at that area, and I decided it looked amazing on it.
