Greetings Sylestia,

My name is Esylana, and I found myself puttering on the site with some beautifully bred 6-vis zolnixis and asking myself, "What can I possibly do with these beautiful creatures?"

The answer came to me, and after a few hours of preparation and work, I think I'm ready to tentatively approach the community and see if anyone is interested in my proposal/game.

The Trial Pet Show

While my goal is to hold a full-fledged pet show during Sylestia festivals, I wanted to test the idea on a small scale, get some feedback, and basically see how the show flows. For that reason, I am limiting the entries for this first show to ten people. For now, it's first come, first serve. More rules and information in the replies below.

And finally, what show would be complete without a prize? :)

The winner for this first show will receive 100 diamonds.

~Rules~

While a normal show would have the featured festival species and two random species, this first show will be featuring only one.

Show Species: The Luffox

1.) Owners may submit any kind of luffox, as long as it is a purebred themed.

2.) The luffox must be an offspring. If it is tagged, or the lineage is not pure, then the entry will be disqualified.

3.) Owners are allowed to use pets they have bred, or pets they have bought. They do not have to be submitted by the original owner.

4.) Please limit one entry per species. So for this first show, each owner is allowed one submission.

5.) Please submit your pet by filling out the form below and replying with it.

Personality Profile(Optional): Closer Clover loves to wander the forest, looking for four-leaf clovers. On his best days, he loves to play pranks and make the other sylesti's in my stable laugh. On his worst days, it's almost as if I can see the raincloud hovering over his head. His favorite food is celery, and he loves long walks on the beach.

~The Categories - A General Breakdown of Judging~

Pets will be judged in three categories and given scores in each. The sum total of those three scores is the overall score. The higher the score, the better the placement.

Categories are as follows:

Genetics

Grooming

Physicality

~Genetics~

A pet's genetics are its traits, both visible and carried. The scoring for the genetics category is fairly straight forward.

- 2 points per visible trait
- 1 point per carried trait

There are some other rules, but I will not implement them until a larger show takes place.

~Grooming~

Grooming is how well-cared-for is a pet? Simply answer these questions and make sure they are yes to aim for the highest score possible in this category.

- Is my pet fed?

- Is my pet equipped with all slots filled?

- Is my pet named?

- Is my pet a high level/do I use it a lot?

~Physicality~

The last category takes into account the pet's base stats, as well as its damage and modifiers from equipment on the pet.

The formula used is a basic average of the above numbers found in a pet's statistics. Please note that things like strength, agility, and health are only going to be considered at their base stat.

Personality Profile: The Darkness of Night was abandoned as an eggling, and had I not seen him more than a few minutes later, he would've perished. He's a traumatized Luff who barely associated with other sylesties in my stables. I named him so to demonstrate the cruelness of the world and how harsh life can be. That was what he was like as a kit, traumatized and scared. He's gotten friendlier and better now, and is affectionate and loyal and I love having him around.
